this is my blog... :) these are my stories...my thoughts...and as such...
I tell them...as I can.
this is the last day of driving...yesterday was a long long long day....
and all those hours driving...driving.....gives you time to think about things...and I was thinking...
I'll make this quick....since I have to get kids moving...
when you meet someone...there are certain things you can pick up right away....physical things....they way they speak, words they select, tone...their eyes, their smile....the way they move...
and when you get to know them...you begin to understand what shaped them as a person....why they say what they say....why they do what they do....
and sometimes...you get the beautiful opportunity to see their soul....revealed... because they are a painter....and they poured it out on a piece of paper or canvas....
Painters...by Jewel, is a beautiful song....well, about painters....I'm not sure I know any other song about painters. :)
Eighty years, an old lady now, sitting on the front porch
watching the clouds roll by
they remind her of her lover, how he left her, and of times long ago...
When she used to color carelessly painted his portrait
a thousand times, or maybe just his smile,
and she and her canvas would follow him, wherever he would go,
'cause I'm a painter and I want to paint you...a lovely world.
oil streaked daisies covered the living room wall,
he put water-colored roses in her hair,
he said, "love, I love you, I want to give you mountains, the sunshine, the sunset too,
I just want to give you a world as...beautiful as you...are ...to me...
'cause they were painters, and they were painting themselves...a lovely world.
so they sat down and made a drawing of their love, they made it an art to live by,
they painted every, passion....every home...created every beautiful child...
in the winter they were weavers of warmth...in summer they were carpenters of love,
they thought blue prints were too sad...so they made them...yellow...
and as I scroll through.....google plus....taking in...all the beautiful souls out there....
I appreciate all the painters...and drawers...and poets and writers...and musicians....
peace..and love....and hearing and seeing another person's soul...appreciating the art of the soul
seeing the beauty...in every single stroke that was delivered
straight from a lovely place.
this piece is my Dad's....and I love it....and cherish it...
You bring beauty, peace,life,obrigado Kelly
